The razors and shave has been fantastic and smooth for me and my face. I’ve been using the 5/6 plate with it, with the personna gem blades and it’s been a great combo.
This razor has been great. I had never had an adjustable razor before, and as someone who routinely goes 1-2 weeks between shaves, I love being able to start at setting 6 for my neck and cheeks, and dial back to settings 1 and 2 for around the lips. Overall this makes shaving go much quicker, because I’m not having to pause as often to rinse away all the accumulated hair in the razor. On my old non-adjustable, this was a laborious and slow process due to having to rinse so much.
I was initially worried that it would shave too aggressively at the higher dial settings. However, by the second use, I had no issue shaving at setting 6 with essentially the same technique as my old non-adjustable.
Lastly, I like the adjustment dial being positioned at the top of the handle, right underneath the clutch. I don’t feel like my palm will accidentally adjust the dial while shaving, the way I might if it was on the other end.
Best beginner razor. Disposal razor my biggest mistake.

Total beginner to using DE razors & have sensitive skin. This razor is awesome! Really like the multiple settings & how it allowed me to find a comfortable level of aggressiveness. It has a nice weight to it, especially helpful since I have a slight tremor. Overall, really feels quality.
As a lifelong wet shaver, I was firmly in the cartridge camp for decades. A few years ago, I decided to give safety razors a try. I never had a problem with the quality of my cartridge shaves, but I liked the idea of not mortgaging the house for blades. I bought one safety razor, then another, then another, and over the next year I amassed seven. I didn’t want to become a collector or take up a new hobby; I just wanted a very close shave with no irritation, no nicks, and no drama. I tried single-edge and double-edge, adjustable and fixed, single-blade and multi-blade. I tried blades including Personna GEM Platinum Diamond Glide, Gillette Nacet Stainless, Feather, Leaf and Vikings Blade (which came with one of the razors). I was still chasing the shave my cartridges gave me.
Then I ordered the SETPOINT in stainless steel (I like some heft). Wow! This is the one. I’ve had it for two weeks and shave with it most days, and I get extremely close shaves with no nicks, using settings 1–2.
I have been trialling the Setpoint Razor for the last three weeks using different settings and blades. It is a well engineered razor and gives a decent shave but I have been getting slight razor burn on my neck. I much prefer my stainless steel 6s which has more "heft" and shaves more smoothly than the aluminium Setpoint.
Over the last decade I have owned old style adjustable gillettes, Rex ambassador, razor, and many others. Used this set point twice since I received it in the mail and I have to say this is the best one to date. The shaving is very smooth and precise. The quality is top notch. This razor will Outlast me. I even had the Rockwell 6s when it first came out and I would say this one is even better. Do not hesitate to purchase.
The razor is amazing. 10/10. The shaving cream was surprisingly good I was not expecting that. The razor stand is also nice. The brush is adequate but not great. I am not a fan of the blades at all they feel too thick. If I had to do it again I’d buy the razor alone rather than this whole kit.
Overall, I'm very impressed with the Rockwell Set Point razor. The razor itself performs exceptionally well and delivers a phenomenal shave. It's comfortable, effective, and does exactly what you'd want a quality razor to do.
However, I do have one complaint about the handle. The tightening mechanism is a little quirky, and you have to be careful not to overtighten it. If you do, loosening it can produce a horrible stripping or clicking sound that doesn't exactly inspire confidence.
Other than that, I think this is a great razor. The shaving performance is outstanding, but I do think the handle mechanism could use some refinement.
Bottom line: Excellent shaving performance, but the handle's tightening mechanism leaves a little to be desired.
Bought a bunch of razor handles for blade gap variety like a fool. Picked this lil bro up and it’s a one stop shop for daily shaving but able to handle letting yourself go a few days with super stubble. Only issue I ever had was my own forgetfulness in reducing the blade gap when I hit certain part of my mug. Like today I shaved my scrubby face with the 5 and forgot to drop it down when going for the chin area. My fault. Lesson learned. Otherwise this thing is not a punisher. Super easy as to learn the angle as a newbie and I enjoy my shaving experience now. I might go as far as to say I have fun shaving because of this dude. Setpoint set me straight. Big fan and I don’t use my gang of other razors now unless I travel because I’m cool losing those but I don’t want to go through the emotions of losing this one. Aww. I love my Setpoint. ‘Merica!
Most enjoyable shaves I’ve ever had, for both face and head.
I plan on getting a 6S in the near future.
Ever since I received my Rockwell SETPOINT, my shave has been so smooth & you can easily the change the blade gap from 1-6. I would recommend it to anyone who wants a smooth shave & a convenient way of doing it
I had sent back the black aluminum one and ordered the stainless steel one from razor emporium. I am very happy with the stainless steel. I am waiting for refund for the black aluminum one.
I love the new Rockwell SETPOINT adjustable razor. I thought my Rockwell 6s was fabulous, and it still is, but I like this better. It doesn’t have the blade overhang on the edges, its adjustable, the handle is longer, the weight is perfect, and it cleans easily since it’s a 2 piece razor. Yes, it’s pricey, but it’s made to last.
I’m grateful to have it.Great job Rockwell.
